Congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to P450 oxidoreductase (POR) deficiency (ORD) results in disordered sex development (DSD) in individuals of both sexes. POR provides electrons to CYP17A1 thereby facilitating synthesis of the major androgen precursor dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).
